TWENTY/20 Masons
As you may know it is the policy of Grand Lodge that each year that more brethren will be added to the 20/20 group thus enabling us to build a network of talented and motivated brethren to work together and with others on this important project.
During past months the number of committed 20/20 masons in Region 10 has fallen considerably for one reason or another. I feel it is now the appropriate time to go back to the Lodges and ask for nominations to fill the ranks.
I would therefore request that you talk to the Worshipful Masters of the Lodges in your District and ask them to identify any brother who, it is felt, is worthy of nomination and who meets the criteria of being a 20/20 mason.
The criteria, as set out in GL information on 20/20 masons, is to identify talented masons within the 20 year old to 50 year old age group. He is a brother who shows a keen interest in the Craft and its future, one who shows leadership skills, and can think outside the square.
I would like to have the nominations submitted to me by the end of March 2010.
To assist the 20/20 masons I have established a Steering Committee to advise and mentor them in their considerations.
The Steering Committee will comprise the following senior and experienced Masons:
- RW Bro Ron Woodhill PAGM, Chairman
- RW Bro Geoff Bunn PJGW, Member; and
- VW Bro Geoff Ludowyk PDGIW, Member.
It is envisaged that the Steering Committee will meet with the 20/20 masons on a regular basis at appropriate intervals as determined by the Chairman and the 20/20 groups.
