Canberra Districts Masonic Association (CDMA)
The Combined Minutes of CDMAs Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) and the Regular Meeting held on Thursday 4 February 2010 can be downloaded from the link in the sidebar.
The EGM carried a motion to dissolve CDMA at a date to be decided. Read this Bulletin for a summary of both meetings.
CDMA is a Masonic Association for Districts 103 and 104. It owes its origins to the fact that each of these Districts has Canberra-based Lodges as well as those in the surrounding areas of NSW.
The objectives of CDMA are to:
-
Provide Lodges with a forum within which to determine mutual policies in areas such as, but not necessarily limited to, charity, community service and social activity;
-
Provide a means to facilitate and coordinate activities in its own right;
-
Enhance the image and public perception of Freemasonry; and
-
Publicise to Lodges details of all Masonic events from whatever Masonic Order or organisation and including, but not limited to, Lodge meeting programs, social functions and community services and charity activities.
For current office holders and appointments, please follow the Organisation Chart link in the sidebar.
CDMA meets on the first Thursday of each month, except in January. While the Canberra Masonic Centre is being redeveloped, it meets in the recreation room of the Masonic Village, Shepherd Street Pearce ACT, thanks to the unstinting generosity of the residents' committee. All masons are welcome to attend; and Masters and Wardens are encouraged to attend and to have a say in and participate in their Districts' activities.
