District 15 - Hornsby & Kuring-Gai
District Grand Inspector of Workings
Very Worshipful Brother Jason Plumridge
Biography
Jason is a 4th generation Freemason with his maternal Great Grandfather, maternal Grandfather and his father all being members of the Craft. Jason was initiated into Lodge Tomaree No. 878 based in Nelson Bay NSW on 18th November 2002, passed on 17th February 2003 and raised on 19th May 2003. Due to work commitments Jason affiliated with The Balmain Lodge No. 23 at Willoughby in 2005 but still holds a special affinity for his mother lodge. Jason progressed through the various positions within Lodge Balmain No. 23 culminating in him being installed as the Lodge’s 150th Worshipful Master on 8th July 2009. Jason is currently the Director of Ceremonies for Lodge Balmain. In 2007 Jason was appointed to 2020 Masons program as a founding member and has since being actively involved in the successor program known as the STEP Action program under the management of the Assistant Grand Master. In 2010 Jason was offered a position on the UGL NSW Region 1 Committee as the 2020 Mason representative and is currently the Region Webmaster. Jason has previously been actively involved in District 14 for a short time as its District Secretary. Jason has an active interest and passion for the craft especially the security and improvement over the management of the Craft. He brings a younger man’s ideas and needs to the craft as well as a professional manner gained through running his own consulting company. Jason is also a member of other Freemasonry Orders including the Rose Croix (18th Degree) and the Order of the Secret Monitor.
From an early age Jason has been involved in serving the community, whether it be as a Freemason, a former serving NSW Police Officer, current member of the NSW Rural Fire Services, or as a former Surf Life Saver or a Manager to his son’s cricket team. Jason is and remains an active member of the NSW Rural Fire Service in the Hornsby / Kuring-Gai District as the Cowan Rural Fire Services Learning & Development Officer, Assistant Coordinator Basic Firefighter Course and on emergency pager to respond to incidents as required. Jason is fortunate to have a very supportive family with his wife Leanne and their three children all of whom support my involvement and commitment to the Craft, the RFS and other pursuits. Jason is a keen sportsman being a member of the Central Coast Seagulls "Golden Oldies” Rugby Union, Scuba Diver, Indoor Rock Climber and an avid 4wder and camper (when time permits).
Jason also ensures that professional life does not interfere with the importance of spending time with family and friends and always try to ensure that competing priorities do not overtake the importance of family. In his professional life Jason is the Director of Vestinex Pty Ltd an independent professional services company focusing on Information Technology, Internal Audit, Training and Investigations.
Jason is committed to the enhancement of the Craft in this District to ensure that Freemasonry remains fruitful, positive and beneficial to all freemasons now and into the future. His motto for his term of office is "Freemasonry for all, All Masons, All People, All Communities, For All Time”.
