CMC Report—21 Aug 2009
The new building construction continues apace with all floor slabs now complete and the glass facade about to be delivered and installed. The form of the building will now become apparent as the outer walls are added and the safety screens removed.

The major plant and machinery is being installed on the top floor slab with the prefab roof steel expected to be installed over the plant in mid September. The lifts are nearing delivery and will be added from the lower parking level.

The underground parking levels are undergoing transformation as the delivery points of all major air ducts both inlet and exhaust along with all the plumbing associated with a building of this size.

Whilst the Project is still tracking very well in terms of both expected completion date and budget, it would have been an advantage to have incorporated a tenancy fitout as we proceed with the base building fitout. The tenancy fitout will now occur once a committment has been received and signed.

Although the commercial property market for this size building remains flat, the Board remains very confident that a tenant will be found in the near term with perspective tenants now wanting to inspect the work thus far. This interest will expand as the building form takes shape and the National Circuit frontage takes prominence.

The photos this month show activity in the lower car parking levels plus views of the 6th floor slab pour from the tower crane vantage point.

More news next month or any breaking news as it occurs.
