Stroke is a medical emergency and is a consequence of a disease or disorder of the blood vessels leading to the brain. In most cases, death from stroke is caused by the blockage of one or more of these vessels or less commonly bleeding from a blood vessel into the brain. It is reported that most strokes occur in people over 60.
