150 Years on

Lodge Young Burrangong No. 20 celebrated its 150th anniversary with the launch of a commemorative booklet at its regular meeting on Saturday 9 May 2009 and followed that with a commemorative dinner. The small lodge room overflowed with over eighty masons in attendance from District 103 and from further afield. The Grand Lodge delegation was led by the Grand Master MW Bro Dr Gregory Henry Levenston MD JP.

 

Building on the history published to commemorate 100 years, the commemorative booklet for the 150th anniversary was researched and compiled by Lodge Secretary and historian, W Bro Bruce Thomson. VW Bro Peter Bindon DGIW 103 launched the booklet at the meeting and presented a copy to the Grand Master for the Grand Lodge archives.

 

Masons were joined by their partners and guests at the commemorative dinner at the Empire Hotel. The guests included the Grand Master's partner Ms Judith Morrice, the Mayor of Young and the Presidents of local service clubs.
