Lodge Perfect Fundraiser

interAction Grant Presentation to the ACT Palliative Care Society

Lodge Perfect of Canberra No. 951 holds an annual appeal in aid of the ACT Palliative Care Society, the organisation which runs Clare Holland House, the much loved hospice on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. This year the Lodge raised over $4,000 and attracted an interAction grant from masoniCare of $4,000. The masoniCare presentation took place at Clare Holland House on 25 August and VW Bro Ron Jemesen DGIW 104 and I attended, along with a contingent from Lodge Perfect.

The Society created a presentation version of the cheques for the total funds raised as can be seen in the photo below.

It was an honour to present the masoniCare cheque and I felt especially privileged to do so... At the start of my term as DGIW three years ago, I attended a meeting at this Lodge where the fund raising was in progress. I suggested then that the Lodge should pursue a grant from masoniCare and the rest as they say is history.

The photo was taken by Mrs Peter Forster, whose husband is the prime mover behind this fund rasing venture by Lodge Perfect.
